She was predeceased by: her parents, Beulah Vaughan and James E. Hoskins; her husband Paul Gerdes; and her siblings, Alma Ellis, Eva Tate, Earline Gibson, Joann James, Bill Hoskins, Clyde Hoskins and Preston Hoskins.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Gerdes (Georgia) of Edna, Marlene Yousef (Wally) of Austin and Martha Gerdes of Spring; her grandchildren, Tammy Gerdes (Michael Beardsley) of Barnard, Lisa Letbetter (Kevin) of Inez, Erin Yousef of Austin, Angela Yousef of Austin and Dr. Abraham Yousef (Angel) of Amherst, Virginia; her great grandchildren, Colton Letbetter, Katelyn Letbetter, Annesonia Beardsley, Sarea Beardsley, Ember Yousef, Orion Beardsley and Jadeon Beardsley; and her nephews, Chris Gerdes, Charles Wileman and Robert Wileman. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
