She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Deyton and Dora Gunter Deyton; her husband Martin Ashley; and her siblings, Elbert, Willard Uranous, Jack, Harold Deyton, Faye, Essie and Frances Deyton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dora Jo Goppert Bartek, Jacqlyn McBride and Debra Goppert Besaw; her son-in-law Jason McBride; her sons, Frederick Goppert, Jr. and Kenneth Goppert; her grandchildren, Dwayne (Holly Bartek), Matthew (Cara Bartek), Brandon (Raven Davis), Andrew (Valerie Davis) and Shelby McBride; her great grandchildren, Jonah Bartek, Maddie Bartek, Penny Bartek and Juno Davis; her sister Mereen Deyton Beals; and her siblings-in-law, Gilbert Beals and Thelma Deyton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Hospice of South Texas, 605 E. Locust Ave., Victoria, TX 77901 Per Shereen's request interment will be at Red Bluff Cemetery, there will be no formal service.
