He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Widener and Maxine Widener. He is survived by: his wife Janice Rice; his children, Loyd "Chantz" Widener of Lubbock, Brandon Widener (Atril) of Lockney and Kimberlee Emert of Plainview; his grandchildren, Jerry Franklin, Hailee Widener, Deacon James Widener, Peyton Emert and Dresden Widener; and his pet Polly.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Lockney Friday (402 S Main St, Lockney, TX 79241). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Main Street Church of Christ (505 S Main St, Lockney, TX 79241).
