He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Luis Cavazos and Tomasa Cavazos; his wife Rebecca Acosta; and his children, Joe Cavazos Jr., Diane Cavazos, Ricardo Cavazos, Carlos Cavazos, Sandra Cavazos and Michelle Cavazos Perez. He was also cherished by 13 other grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren and five sisters.
