He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Carthel; his siblings, James Carthel (Carol) and Janice Parish (Tom); his children, Gayle McCullough (Everett), Glenda May (Thurman), Ron Carthel (Charla), Criss Carthel and Guy Carthel (Alice); and his grandchildren, Jared, Kevin, Chad, Jonathan McCullough, Anthony, Preston May, Kymberli Saldaña, Nathan, Reid Carthel, Holli McClanahan, Ethan, Seth, Kyle, Tyler Carthel, Vanessa Semonick, Valerie Sobral, Tyson and Dru Carthel. He is also survived by 29 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
