It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Anne (Lockney) Messer (Lockney, Texas), born in Texon, Texas, who passed away on June 4, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Belle Shankle (Ewing) and Burnell Shankle; her former husband Carl Lee, Jr.; and her husband Thomas Messer. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Gallaway of Plainview and Boyd Lee (Debra) of Lockney; her stepdaughter Becky Demy of Kirkland, Washington; and her grandchildren, Lee Anne Mitchell (Tim) of Tucson, Arizona, Mandy Lacey (Shaun) of Westerly, Alana Bernal (Mike) of Austin, Texas, Billy Lee and Jessica of Canyon, Texas.
