He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Borchers and Mathilde Weirich Borchers; his wife Opal Klaerner Borchers; his granddaughter Lara Elees Heep; and his siblings, Robert Borchers and Betty Fletcher.
He is survived by: his daughters, Raydean Borchers, Fredericksburg and Kelly Borchers of Lockhart. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
