He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah M. Johnson and Rathers Asberry Sr.; and his sisters, Billie Joyce Branch, Jannie Ray Asberry and Brenda Joyce Asberry.

He is survived by: his children, Natasha Asberry (Donnie) and Rathers Asberry; his grandchildren, Liberty Asberry and Savannah Combs; and his brother Mack Allen Asberry. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a godson.
