She was predeceased by: her parents, Rafika Nehmi (Jhraish) and Habib Nehmi; her husband Jim Schuman; her daughter Elizabeth Schuman; and her sister Muntaha Jabour.

She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Schuman of Austin and Julia; her sisters, Wadad Nabout and Soumaya Chalhoub of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Walker Elias (Nadim Elias) of Austin and Jim Walker (Bethany Lange Walker) of Austin; and her great grandchildren, Isabella Elias, Jonathan Elias, Charlee Walker and Carson Walker.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McCurdy Funeral Home (105 E Pecan St, Lockhart, TX 78644). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at the Lockhart City Cemetery (600 N Colorado St, Lockhart, TX 78644).

Memorial contributions can be made in Nuhad's memory to St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church, 15519 FM 1325, Austin, TX 78728.
