It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanita Castillo Pompa (Lockhart, Texas), born in San Marcos, Texas, who passed away on November 18, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Gutierrez and Genoveva Gutierrez (Rodriguez); her husband Nick Pompa; and her sisters, Dominga Alvarez and Mary Alvarez.
She is survived by: her children, Julian Castillo, III, Pedro Castillo (Rosemay), Jerry Castillo (Becky), Mary Jane Mendez (Mario), Sylvia Torres (Pablo), Joel Castillo (Mona Caballero), Ernest Castillo (Veronica) and Jesse Lopez (Roxanne); her stepchildren, Nick Pompa Jr., Erasmo Pompa, Hector Pomp, Emma Pompa and Adelita Pompa; and her siblings, Carmelita Castillo, Guadalupe Balderas, Nicolasa Delgado, Pauline Alvarez, Julia Ramirez, Simon Guardiola, Juan Guardiola and Jesse Guardiola. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
