He is survived by: his father Jose Luis Alanis; his siblings, Coral Alanis, Jose Luis Alanis, Jr (Elizabeth) and Hugo Alanis; his nephews, Josue S. Alanis, Jaziel J. Alanis and Daniel L. Alanis; and his niece Genesis C. Esquivel (Angel).
