He was predeceased by: his father Walter Lawrence; and his brother Jesse Glynn Rector. He is survived by: his wife Ana Rector (Sanchez); his son James Robert Rector of Lockhart; his sisters-in-law, Cecilia Garza, Olivia Kelly, Oralia Sanchez and Mary Francis Rector; and also Barbara Nell Fannin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
