Jennie Sanders Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jennie Sanders in Lockhart, Texas, who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Chapman and Jennie Mae Chapman; her siblings, Doris Harris, George R. "Bubba" Chapman, William "Bill" Chapman and Mary Nan Rector; and her son Jerald Lee "Jerry" Sanders.
She is survived by: her son Russell Sanders (Martha); her granddaughters, Shawn Goodman (Dan Ventura) and Andrea Sanders; and her great grandchildren, Luke and Boden Ventura. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the McCurdy Funeral Home (105 E Pecan St, Lockhart, TX 78644). A burial was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Lockhart City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jennie's memory to The Nature Conservancy or a charity of your choice.
