He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Frederick Gerhardt Willms and Susie Kretzmeier Willms. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lee Dinges; his siblings, Alice Willms, Frances Huebner, Alton Willms, Virginia Willms and Sue Schulz; his children, David, Tommy, Jerry and Shelley; his children-in-law, Rebecca, Renee and Bobby; his grandchildren, Zach (Paloma), Austin, Kurt, Alex, Erik, Cyan, Danielle, Dylan and Sienna; his great grandchild Iris; and his sister Mary Fay Barnes. He is also survived by numerous extended family and community friends.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Association of Former Students of Texas A&M in honor of Fred. Donations go towards scholarships and financial aid to current and future students.
