He is survived by: his wife Dora Cordova Mendez; his children, Mark Mendez, Michael Mendez, Sr. (Norma) and Erica Phares (Michael); and his siblings, Virginia Mendez, Mary Alice Moreno (Miguel), Yolanda Llamas, Mary Catherine Jones (Tom), Dolores Munoz, Oscar Mendez, Sr. and Hector Mendez (Amy). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
