She was predeceased by: her parents, Arturo Gomez and Julia Gomez (Arturo Gomez); her siblings, Amador Gomez and Lidia Garcia; her son Ricky Fernandez; her son-in-law Michael Hoffman; and her daughter Julie Hoffman.

She is survived by: her husband Gene Lewis; her children, John (Julie Lewis), Lisa (Lonnie Robertson), Barbara (Justin Gibson) and Suzie (Patrick Hazel); and her sister Nina Harris of Rising Star, Texas.. She is also survived by husband, children, and grandchildren.
