She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Duane Ellis and Muriel Ellis (Turner); her grandson Joseph Maddox Jr.; and her brother Dallas Ellis. She is survived by: her husband James Byrd of Livingston; her children, Melissa Harris (Tyler) of Livingston, Allenalena Faith Byrd of Livingston and Loring Byrd of Livingston; her grandchildren, Ayrianna-Ann Villanueva, Elias Villanueva, Harlen Byrd, Robert Byrd and Raylon Byrd; her stepgrandchildren, Coral and Amber; and her brothers, Larry Ellis (Myrna), Lee Ellis (Debbie) and Michael Ellis. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
