She was predeceased by: her parents, Lena Mae "Ginger" (Marks) and Malcolm "Mickey" Smith; her husband Robert Major; and her sister Jimmie Russell. She is survived by: her sons, James and Rusty; her sister Frankie Chavis (Paul); and her grandchildren, Madeline and J. R..
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (1101 Antoine Dr, Houston, TX 77055).
