With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sarah Jo Carpenter of Livingston, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her father Clyde B. Payne, Sr.; and her husband Elmer James Carpenter. She is survived by: her mother Alma M. Cude of Livingston, Texas; her daughters, Angela Sims of Kingwood, Alicia Donoghue of Livingston and Melissa Hunt (Eric) of Atascocita, Texas; her grandchildren, Addison Hunt, Ashton Hunt (Emily), Cal Jordan Sims and Jaxon Sims; her great grandchildren, Mercy Hunt and Grayson Hunt; and her brother Clyde Barkley Payne (Mary). She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Livingston ISD Green and White Scholarship.
