He was predeceased by: his wife Dollie; his stepmother Alma Thomas; his brother Russell Flynn Thomas; his daughter Nela Brown; and his son-in-law Michael Brown.
He is survived by: his son Claud Thomas (Candyce); and his grandchildren, Ryan Thomas (Lee Ann), Robert Brown, Russell Thomas (Cynthia), Neil Thomas (Amy), Brian Oneal, Emma Thomas, Mason Thomas, Micah Thomas, Megan Thomas and Grace Thomas.
