He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Wells and Rebecca Wells (Hayden); and his siblings, Darwin Wells, Keith Wells, Eddie Prestridge, Doty Leblanc and Anna Norris.

He is survived by: his sisters, Joyce Stubblefield and Fran Boyett.
