He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlee Maxey and Clara Maxey (Montgomery); his siblings, Barney Maxey, Billy Maxey and Evelyn; and his brother-in-law Cecil Joyner.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda Maxey (Hopson) of Livingston; his daughter Mary Reyes of Onalaska, Texas; his sisters, Marilyn Mitrius of Memphis Tennessee, Hazel Parks of Memphis Tennessee and Ann Ward of Tunica, Mississippi; and his grandchildren, Joshua Hartman, Nick Hartman Elijah Harless, Felix Rodriquez and Hope Flores. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; along with numerus nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
