He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry "Bubba" Manis and Virginia "Jenny" Marsalis Manis; and his brother Gustave Mikel "Gus" Manis. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Pauline Schneider (James) of Onalaska and Robert W. "Bobby" Manis, Jr. (Ali) of Bayou Vista; his siblings, Steven Joseph Manis, Sr. (Chaille) of League City and Melody Richter Amaya of Texas City; and his grandchildren, Nikki, Tori, Rachal, Chloe, Jordan, Megan and Jackson. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made in his memory to the Texas City American Legion Post 89, the Dickinson VFW Post 6378, or the Santa Fe VFW Post 5400.
