He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert N. McLaurin and Bertha McLaurin (Damrel); his son John Russell "Booger" McLaurin; and his siblings, Stewart McLaurin and Evelyn Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Myrle McLaurin of Livingston, Texas; his sons, Chuck McLaurin (Pam) and Steve McLaurin (Kim); his daughter-in-law Kimi McLaurin of Livingston, Texas; his grandchildren, Kaleb, McKenzie, James Wayne, Colton and Hannah; and his sister Margaret Alexander of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Grove Church of Christ (6781 U. S. 190 E, Livingston, TX 77351).
