She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Bonds and Hazel Bonds (Jones); her husband Lloyd Collins; the father of her children T. J. Light; her grandson Bobby Jackson; and her close friend Peggy Farris.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie (Cliff Baldo), Alana Carpenter, Carrie (Bobby Meeks), Terry Light, Dee (Tim Rice) and Wesley Jackson; her siblings, Delane Wilhite, Theresa Stokes and Tommy Bonds; and her close friend Sharon Dabney. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
