He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Lang Alec Sr. and Avie Portia Alec (Sylestine); his son Logan Alec; and the mother of his children Mary Sylestine Alec. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Maldonado; his children, Tobine Bradford Alec and Portia Cheyenne Alec; his granddaughter Lilly-Ann Elizabeth Alec; his siblings, Lyndon Alec (Rebecca), Cecil Alec Jr., Fred Alec and Paula Alec; and his aunt Sharon Miller. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
