He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Burks and Emma Burks; his stepfather Jimmy Davis; his siblings, Jimmy Davis, Robert Burks, Randy Burks, Rodney Brown, Paula Strickland, Debbie Elliot and Robin Folton; and his nephew Lee Burks.
He is survived by: his siblings, Terry Smith of Magnolia, Texas and Jay Burks (Brenda) of Livingston, Texas; his sister-in-law Betty Black (Kevin); and his uncles, Johnny Burks (Bobbie) of Livingston and Monroe Burks (JoAnne) of Magnolia, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
