With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Edward Burks of Livingston, Texas, born in Houston, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 16, 2024 at the age of 62. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Burks and Emma Burks; his stepfather Jimmy Davis; his siblings, Jimmy Davis, Robert Burks, Randy Burks, Rodney Brown, Paula Strickland, Debbie Elliot and Robin Folton; and his nephew Lee Burks.
He is survived by: his siblings, Terry Smith of Magnolia, Texas and Jay Burks (Brenda) of Livingston, Texas; his sister-in-law Betty Black (Kevin); and his uncles, Johnny Burks (Bobbie) of Livingston and Monroe Burks (JoAnne) of Magnolia, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home (406 N Yaupon Ave, Livingston, TX 77351). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Cochran Funeral Home (406 N Yaupon Ave, Livingston, TX 77351).
