He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Burns and Mary Lois Burns (Alexander); his former wife Wilda Mae Burns; and his siblings, James Burns (Pee Wee), Frank Denman Burns, Ada Bernice Burns and Polly Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Burns; his children, Billy Wayne Burns (Lee) and Avey Douglas; and his grandchildren, Vincent Douglas, Wendy Douglas, Gregory Burns and Allison Cardarette (Jay). He is also survived by Seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
