He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Chap and Wanda Poncho; his uncle Mario Garcio; his aunts, Melinda Hornsby and Metilda Garcia; and his grandfather Gabriel Ruiz.
He is survived by: his parents, Minerva Poncho and Javier Ruiz; his siblings, Maricela Ruiz-Poncho, Alicia Ruiz-Poncho, Jennifer Ruiz, Nikoli Poncho and Jeremiah Guerrero; his grandmother Guadalupe Barrera; his aunts and uncles, Amelia, Tom Mason, Yayo Johnson, Gabriel Ruiz Jr., Susana Ruiz and Guadalupe Ruiz; and his close friend Brentice Battise of Livingston, Texas. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
