He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother J. W. Sims; his wife Betty C. Sims of Livingston, Texas; his sons, William D. Sims (Shannon Ann) of Sugarland, Texas and Barry L. Sims (Trena) of Odessa, Texas; his grandchildren, Martha Phillips, Sarah Lynch, Jared Sims and Benjamin Sims; and his siblings, Dorothy Green, Elaine Osbourne, Pearl Hampton, Shirley Vickson and Billy Green (Marguerite).
