She was predeceased by: her parents, James Iverson Branan and Ester Louise Branan (Butler); and her brothers, Don and Lynn. She is survived by: her husband Leonard Alfred Tompkins of Livingston, Texas; her daughter Carrie McAlister (Hollis) of Kingwood; her grandchildren, Cole McAlister (Allie), Claire McAlister and Cody McAlister; her son John Tompkins (Mandi) of Lantana; her grandchildren, Jackson Tompkins and Audri Tompkins; her sister Peggy Kuenstle of Katy, Texas; and her sister-in-law Janie Branan of Katy, Texas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
