She was predeceased by: her parents, T. Tate Tate and Tillie Tate (Gabalo); and her husband Joe A. Bowen. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Montgomery (Derrell) of Conroe Texas, Mark E. Bowen Sr. (Linda) of Liberty and Michael L. Bowen (Annof Shenandoah); and her sister Mary Alice Fleming of Pasadena, Texas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
