He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert L. Skelton and Cordie Skelton (Dews); his daughter Shirlene Little; his siblings, Roy Skelton, Linward "Sam" Skelton, Annabelle Hudman and Ruby Dell Skelton; and his grandson Robert Skelton.
He is survived by: his wife Imojean Skelton of Livingston, Texas; his sons, Gene E. Skelton (Jeanette) of Livingston and James F. Skelton of Livingston, Texas; his sister Sybil Elliott of Garrison, Texas; and his grandchildren, Kenneth Paul Kimbro, Michael Gene Skelton, Matthew Paul Skelton, Justin Skelton, Aimee Mulligan, Kevin Kimbro, Tamara Kimbro and Tammy Miller. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great granddaughters; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel (406 N Yaupon Ave, Livingston, TX 77351). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
