He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Laird and Lee Ola Laird (Duff); his sister Mary Ann Claiborne; and his brother-in-law Bob Claiborne. He is survived by: his nieces, Cheryl Claiborne, Debra Peskin and Molly Claiborne-Iskorkutan; and his cousin Jimmy Laird (Tina).
