He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Aubrey Davis and Bessie Inez Davis (Richardson); and his sisters, Frances Nettles and Mary Tidwell. He is survived by: his wife Carldean Davis; his close friend Diane Richardson; and his children, Dena Billingsley, Gloria Biggs, Everett Davis, Frances McFairen and Nancy Isaac. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
