She was predeceased by: her parents, James Howard Scarbrough and Sarah Ruth Scarbrough; her husband Grover Cleveland Valentine; and her sisters, Birdie, Betty and Anna Belle.
She is survived by: her son Terry Valentine; her daughter-in-law Anna of Livingston, Texas; her daughter Debra Valentine Dillard; her son-in-law Jim of Austin, Texas; her son Aaron Valentine; her daughter-in-law Audry of Pearland, Texas; and her grandchildren, Terry Valentine Jr., Steven Valentine, Peggy Valentine, Anthony Dillard, Danielle Dumas, Matthew Valentine, Charlotte Hill, Blake, Vonessa Alsup, Devona Montgomery, Kenny and Brittani Harris. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
