With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Derwood Hyder Allen of Livingston, Texas, born in Memphis, Texas, who passed away on September 29, 2024 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Derwood Hyder Allen to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Grayson Allen and Cora Katherine Allen (Doole); his wives, Doris Allen and Patsy Allen; and his grandson Micah Parsons.

He is survived by: his daughters, Druscilla Miller (Gary) and Wanda Parsons (Bob); his grandchildren, Todd Parsons, Deanna, Grayson Hopper, Claudia, Angela Parsons, Alicia Calhoun and Patrick; and his caregiver Karen Kerstens. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; special friends, 4 stepchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
