He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Walker Powell, Jr. and Dora Evelyn Johnson Powell; his wife Jackie; and his sons, Donnie and Ronnie Powell.
He is survived by: his sister Carol Dirzanoski of Livingston. He is also survived by several extended family members and numerous friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Starr Funeral Home Chapel (510 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at the New Hope Baptist Church (400 New Hope Dr, Milam, TX 75959).
