He was predeceased by: his grandparents, George Clamon of Washington, Sarah Ann Irvin Clamon, William Jefferson Herrington and Hattie Octavia Hendrix Herrington; his parents, Fred D. Clamon and Lillie Mae Herrington Clamon; and his brother-in-law Wayne Starr.
He is survived by: his children, Bennie Gene Clamon Jr (Kathy), Aletha Suzette Cole (Greg) and Athena Gayle Martin (Brett); his grandchildren, Andrew Clamon, Cassondra Fleischman (Daniel), Christopher Cole (Kim), Matthew Cole (Dani), Austin Cole (Shianne) and Madison Cole; his great grandchildren, Kai, Annalise, Charlotte, Mckenna and Josie; and his siblings, James Clamon (Nina), Jerry Clamon (Sondra), Tommy Clamon, Judy Fisher (Lonnie) and Shirley Starr. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
