ALBERT JOHN PETERS, JR
Albert John ‘Pete’ Peters, Jr, Age 93, Farmerville, LA passed away in Livingston, Texas on December 7, 2022. He was born in Brenham, Texas to Albert John Peters, Sr and Maggie Mae Kelly. He spent most of his youth and young adulthood in Brenham, Texas. His siblings were Margaret Wink, Betty Elizabeth Hilliard and Lois Peters Cook. Pete married Renee Jane Bell and the marriage resulted in three children, of which two are deceased (Albert J Peters, III and Patricia Peters Moore) and one living daughter, Denise Peters Polston. He has 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In 1964 he married Joyce Farley. Their marriage of 52 years ended with her death in 2016. Pete lived and worked in Texas and Louisiana for the trucking industry and later with the Louisiana State revenue department until retirement. Pete enjoyed hunting, fishing, pool playing and going to the horse races in Shreveport. He was a master gardener and shared produce with friends throughout the community. Pete was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, where he was known as an excellent gospel singer. Pete loved music and said that he would have been a professional musician, had he been given a guitar in his youth. Graveside service will be held at a later date at Sardis Cemetery.
