She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Thurman and Wroena Thurman (Nichols); and her son Dustin Schreier. She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Venable (Kenny) of Lubbock; her sister Jane Peterson of Lubbock; her grandchildren, Shane Venable (Tera Rogers), Dyllon Smith (Hailey) of Providence Village and Colton Smith (Destiney) of Olton; and her great grandchildren, Ainsley, Beau, Kyller, Layne, Channing and Hudsyn.
