He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip George and Catherine Bilello Cortese; his wife Ruth Steglich Cortese; and his sisters, Georgia Mae Mapes, Ann Fuentes, Nancy Marie Miller and Jean Cortese.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Frank Cortese (Nancy), Perry Don Cortese, Jackie McLaughlin and Beverly Simmang (Michael); his siblings, Frank Cortese, Salvador Cortese and Jannie Harding; and his grandchildren, Christina McLaughlin Demirs (Ed), Katherine Mendoza (Ricky), Joseph Anthony Cortese (Heather), Ashley Kemp, Kurt Moyer, Shandra Flores and Jasmine Meade.
