He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Smithart (Lisa), Roger Smithart (Lisa), David Smithart (Roxe) and Debra Kendrick (Jimmy); and his siblings, Paul Smithart and Peggy Charlton. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
