She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Gammill and Thelma Whatley Gammill; and her sister Gail. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Wayne Simmons; her children, Gerald Wayne Simmons, Jr. (Roni) and Crystal Marie Stanton; her grandchildren, Hala Simmons, Piper Stanton and River Stanton; her brother Gary Lynn Gammill (Judy); her nephew Edward; and her niece Renee Jones. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
