He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvis Washington and Maudie Washington; his son Andy Washington; and his siblings, Delton Washington, Franklin Washington and Jewel Faye Fort.

He is survived by: his wife Stella Washington of Linden, TX; his children, Darla Chitsey, Troy Chitsey of Choctaw, OK, Darren Washington and Deana Washington of Redwater, TX; his daughter-in-law Amy Washington Whatley of Linden, TX; his grandchildren, Alex (Taylor Washington), Kelsey (John Best), Rowdy (Codee Washington), John Tanner Washington of Linden, TX and Bryant Chitsey (Cameron Chitsey); his great grandchildren, Christian, Misty, Sawyer, Anslee and Jackson; and his sister-in-law Pat Washington of Atlanta, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church general fund or the kitchen fund; American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
