She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Vaughan and Leslie Vaughan; her husband Floyd Story; and her brothers, Larry and Eugene Vaughan.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Head of Linden and Grady Story of Atlanta; her children-in-law, Will Head and Christy Story; her granddaughters, Miranda Crompton of Linden and Chelsea Crompton of Atlanta; and her sisters, Joyce Johnson of Dallas, Margie Harris of Atlanta and Pat Wall of Center Hill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
