It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Barrett Whatley of Linden, Texas, born in Texarkana, Arkansas, who passed away on February 7, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hammack and Myrna Hammack; her former husband Jerry Barrett; her husband Hershell Whatley; her brothers, Billy Hammack and Bobby Hammack; her son Bill Pryor; her granddaughter Cissy Matthews Eldridge; her son-in-law Alan Christianson; and her stepson Keith.
She is survived by: her former husband Jimmy Pryor; her son-in-law Chet Matthews of Montgomery, AL; her children, Lindy Christianson of Texarkana, AR and Frank Pryor of Linden; and her grandsons, Jim Parsons, Jason Barrick, Josh Barrick (Christi), Frank Pryor Jr. (Julie), Brad Pryor and Andy Pryor. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that those attending the service please wear a mask.
