He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Koepke and Zella Koepke; and his siblings, Lewis Koepke, Zella Higginbotham, Mary Davis, Martha Deen and Ruth Park.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Koepke of Linden; his children, Kristopher Koepke (Jaime) of Linden, Texas, Kristy Gryder (Jason) of Atlanta, Texas and Michael Koepke (Courtney) of Queen City, Texas; his grandchildren, Hannah Crane-Spencer, Ethan Crane, Kenley Gryder, Jillian Gryder, Christian Koepke, Teagan Koepke, Koralee Koepke, Chevee Koepke, Jordan Dunbar, Aleck Koepke, Jade Carrell-Dunbar, Anestie Koepke-Alamo, Jayce Carrell-Mckinney and Jonathan Carrell; and his great grandchildren, Anastacia Alamo, Sergio Alamo, Gabriel Koepke, Madeline Koepke and Nakoma Dunbar. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations are welcome in his name to honor his life to the Wounded Warrior Project.
