He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward and Ina Leona Points; his son Todd Points; his brother Jackie Wayne Points; and his close friend Tony Whitlow.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Points of Linden; his children, Ella Daniels of El Dorado, Mandy Jester (Brandon) of Arkadelphia, Tammy Hardin of Fouke and Ricky Ratley of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Elise Points, Aliance Points, Jaxon Jester, Jordan Jester, Heather Dwyer, Haley Hardin, Hanna Hardin, Matthew Ratley, Anna Ratley and Austin Ratley; his great grandchildren, Beckett Shaffer, Luca Brinson, Karsyn Foote and Tucker Dwyer; and his siblings, Joyce McInnis, Donald Points (Pat), Gloria June Ables, Anita Faye Reisdorff (Bill) and Ricky Points (Teresa). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Center Grove Baptist Church (420 Co Rd 1122, Atlanta, TX 75551). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sparkman Cemetery (Sparkman, AR 71763).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests considering a donation to Dierksen Hospice or Center Grove Baptist Church be made in Johnny's honor.
