With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Henry Rape of Linden, Texas, born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rape and Minnie Rape (Allen); his former wife Erma Jean Scales; and his son Ronnie Rape. He is survived by: his wife Nell Rape; his son Kenneth Rape (Kris) of Paris, TX; his granddaughter LaToya Odell of Dallas, TX; his great grandchildren, Amarion Rape, JaJuanQuevius Minter of Dallas, TX and Jeremiah Guerra of Paris, TX.; his stepchildren, Dwyna Watson (Gary), Toya Lockett, Sedrick Lockett (Shanta) and Kadarrius Nichols; his stepgrandchildren, Cori, Amber, Jasmine, Kiyuna, Sedrick Jr., Beth and Alexandria; and his siblings-in-law, Sheila King of Hayward, CA, Thressa Lloyd of Garland, TX, Robert Lloyd of Bossier City, LA and Vernon Jay Walker (Dee) of Dallas, TX.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J. C. White Funeral & Cremation Services (410 E 16th St, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Floyd Valley Baptist Church (3371 Co Rd 2349, Marietta, TX 75566).
